Back in time #19: Cinérex

Long before Magnus, Tom already was already exploring the boundaries between techno, pop, rock groove and lounge.

General Electrique was a project of Tom and dj Kelvin Smits. They recorded some demo’s but due to issues with Island Records nothing was officialy released. Later on, General Electrique became Cinérex. Their debut-album ‘Exit All Areas part 2‘ (Part 1 was never released because of clearance-problems) was released in 1998.

Tom can be heard on three songs: ‘Blow Tenderly’ and ‘Feminax’ (songs from the General Electrique-era) and ‘Horace Silver’. The song Feminax contains some messages from Tom’s mailbox.
